Southbank

Southbank is one of central suburbs in Melbourne, Australia. This is a popular retail, dining and entertainment area on the Yarra river.

One of the most recent developments on Southbank is exiting Eureka Tower(under construction), which will rise on 297m above ground. This is the world talles residential building in the world, measured to the roof. However, it is outgrown by the Q1 apartment tower in Queensland with a structural tip on 322m.

Rialto Towers is the second highest building in Melbourne - 251 m. There is an observation desk on the top of Rialto Towers.

Crown Casino and Entertainment Complex is one of central features of the Southbank.
Apart from gaming floor, it includes two hotel towers, exclusive botiques, night clubs, top class restaurants, food courts and a cinema complex.

Heritage Sandridge Bridge was formerly used by trains and converted to pedestrian bridge in March 2006 before the Commonwealth Games held in Melbourne.

Freshwater Place North (205m high) is another up-market residential building in Southgate.
